Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is normal occasionally. Everybody celebrates with food, like in birthday parties, festivals and BBQ’s. But it can become a very serious problem when it leads to negative physical and emotional imbalances in person’s lives. Often emotional eating can become destructive cycle. It become entrenched in lives of its suffers when they start using food to regulate their moods, to overcome anxiety feelings and to cope with stress .This behaviour can cause emotional eaters to gain weight ,or become obese , because emotional eaters feel hungry most of the time. They consume more calories than their own body needs and so they gain a lot of weight.

Common sign’s of emotional eating are

1) Rapid eating
2) Eating a lot when not hungry
3) Eating habits when emotionally stressed like depression
4) When working
5) Eating immediately when arriving home
6) Eating it completely full
7) Guilt, depression, feelings, disgust after eating

The characteristic of emotional hunger includes. Emotional hunger comes suddenly, one minute the person is not at all hungry and the next moment he is starving. It often craves for specific food like candy, pizza or burger, emotional hunger starts from mouth and mind rather than the stomach.
