This Violent Mind formed in January of 2004 with the
aim of producing 'trad goth with an edge'. Drawing on such influences
as Type O Negative, The Mission, Gary Numan and The Sisters of Mercy,
as well as more diverse bands such as Deathboy,
Celldweller and Delerium, TVM aim to create a recognisably trad sound
whilst throwing in the unexpected!
News
Well, the first album The Storm is
out, having had quite a good launch at April 2004's Whitby Gothic Weekend,
selling out within just a few days! Work is now starting on the next
one, and various tracks will be appearing in the mp3 section for free
download as and when. We're aiming to have it ready by October, and
we'll keep you updated on our progress here in the meantime.
Wre're shortly hoping to recruit a new guitarist with
a view to getting out and gigging, and of course the addition of a new
band member will also mean our sound grows and continues to evolve.
As well as the main TVM music, various side projects
are in the works, and downloadable offerings of these will appear on
the mp3 page as well. Keep yer eyes peeled!
